The spirit behind my work ia a fascination with what we see, use or reject everyday. I am drawn to industrial, computer, or household junk. I clean it, prepare it, paint it, etch it. I combine it with found objects, chain or wire. The provocation of clay with metal, painted wood and melted plastic is irresistible. But so is comfort. I test out my work personally, choosing my materials and methods with care. Each piece is thus unique. Excitement at communicating the arcane allure of rubber floor covering must never result in an awkward earing, necklace or pin. And so...

Pasadena Holiday Show
So, here are a few kind words to anyone who may still have an idea of finding me at the Pasadena Holiday Show.
At 4pm today 10th December, I along with most other exhibitors bailed from this show, which we all suspect to have been a scam perpetrated on us and the general public.
Some of you who came to the Harvest Festival in Pomona indicated that you may like to come this Pasadena event. I am remaining in Pasadena till early Monday morning. I thought I may do some walking around, and possibly go to the Norton Simon art museum and the Asian Art museum. Then I'm heading back up the coast to relax in Paso Robles for ...

It's always the same routine, getting up early on Thanksgiving morning to set things up, usually with help from some of 'los bratos' who have congregated at home. Here I'm flanked by Charles and Camilla, the two middle children.

Visit Me at the Fountain Hills Festival of Arts & Crafts Booth A14
Fountain Hills Festival of Arts and Crafts
November 11th to 13th Fri, Sat & Sun 10-5
Palisades Blvd & Saguaro Blvd, Fountain Hills AZ
Here I am in gloomy old Fountain Hills. I mean weather-wise. The fountain IS quite jolly, though. They put red in it for Veterans' Day. 11/11/11. Lots of good o' soldiers here, in the Hills. One chap was all decked out and his wife was in her uniform too. I couldn't take a picture in time. Sorry. I remember in good ol' Angleterre, we wore poppies. I always bought one, and put it on. There were people with poppies here, but I couldn't see where to buy one. War makes me sad ...

En Route from Sacramento to Fountain Hills AZ
I'm in a bit of a pout with working, at the moment, and the 'pore' ol' fingers' hurt like billie-oh. So, I stopped of in Palm Springs, old Hollywood Jewel of the CA desert, for a bit of a rest. I hiked in Indian Canyons. There were more people there than I anticipated, but I used my hiking poles, as I'm an old bag now, and somewhat afraid of the rocks. It's the going of the downhill that does the old bones in. But it was still fun. The trading post had some rather cross tribal rangers. They had shaved heads and long plaits down their backs. Fetching in their grumpiness. One of the really super ...
